A peacable walk

a new insight from Moroni, Chapter 7: 3-4.

3 Wherefore, I would speak unto you that are of the church, that are the peaceable followers of Christ, and that have obtained a sufficient hope by which ye can enter into the rest of the Lord, from this time henceforth until ye shall rest with him in heaven.

4 And now my brethren, I judge these things of you because of your peaceable walk with the children of men.

How could Mormon tell that he was speaking to people who had "obtained a sufficient hope by which [they] could enter into the rest of the Lord." ? It was because he saw their "peacable walk with the children of men." You can tell alot about a person by the way that person interacts with and treats others. Dave Barry, a very funny columnist, said "Someone who is nice to you, but is rude to the waiter, is not a nice person" How true this is! Mormon didn't say that he could tell that church members beleived in Christ because they all treated eachother well, he saw that they treated all of the "children of men" well. How am I treating those that I don't "have" to treat well? I hope that those who know me would say I "walk peaceably" with all those who I come across.

You have such great insights. I love this! Someday you'll be sharing things like this in General Conference with the whole church! :o)
